Hurraw lip balm review!

Hey everyone!

It’s been a while, huh? Senior year has been a ride, and with that comes a LOT of work. At the time I’m writing this, COVID-19 is a big headline and everything is crazy. Everyone has been ordered to stay home, probably for the next few weeks at least, so that means there’ll be some posts coming up!

Today I have a review of these awesome lip balms from Hurraw! I had a few balms from them that I reviewed way back in 2016, and they were some of the best lip balms I have ever used. I recently ordered their tinted lip balm in the shade Hazelnut (review on the way soon), and I’ve been loving it so much that I decided to order more from them because I’ve missed having these amazing lip balms around. It was actually my first time ever ordering from their website, I used to order them from Amazon but they would be three or four dollars more than the website price.

It was so hard to choose which ones I wanted to try, because they all sounded amazing. Since the last ones I had were pretty bold scents, I decided to go with some of their more natural scents for springtime: Almond, Lemon, Mint, Earl Grey, and Coffee Bean as a repurchase because I LOVE it. They were so sweet, they included an extra Cherry Lemon scented lip balm (!!!) and a sample of their unscented BALMTOO (!!!) which were really exciting to find when I opened the package.

Also, a quick note- this is NOT a sponsored post! I purchased everything in this review with my own money, with the exception of the free samples they included. What can I say, I just really love Hurraw!

I should probably talk about the brand a bit, because trust me, they’re pretty awesome. Their products are all natural, vegan, and made with raw ingredients, which is pretty hard to find in skincare these days. Their lip balms currently come in 27 scents, and they’ve also been expanding their product range in the past year: they recently added Aura Balms (which I haven’t tried but would really like to!) and BALMTOO, which is a multipurpose balm that they actually included a free sample of! As of May 2020, their non-tinted lip balms are $4.00 each, the tinted ones are $5.00 each, the Aura Balms are $22 each, and the BALMTOO’s are $29.00 for scented ones and $27.00 for the unscented one. A bit pricey, but hey, you’re getting vegan, organic products that are actually really great for your skin.

Guys, these lip balms smell so good. I love it when a lip balm is both moisturizing and scented! It’s even better when I know the scent comes from natural ingredients, rather than being synthetic and fake. Almond smells exactly like marzipan, and almond cookies, since sweet almond oil is the first ingredient. If you like almond, you NEED to try this lip balm. Lemon has the perfect lemongrass scent, the ingredients include both lemon peel oil AND lemongrass leaf oil so it’s the ultimate lemon lip balm! It smells just like the Lemon Zinger tea from Celestial Seasonings. I can almost smell some ginger too! Mint smells creamy and delicately minty, with a hint of vanilla. It makes me think of candy canes! I like that the peppermint isn’t overwhelming, it mixes well with the cocoa butter and sweet almond oil. Earl Grey is a tea scented balm, and it’s unlike any other tea lip balm I’ve ever tried. I’ve never had earl grey tea before, but this is what I imagine it smelling like. It contains bergamot peel oil and limonene, which give it a light, citrus-spicy tea scent. If you’re a tea lover like I am, you definitely need this lip balm in your life. Coffee Bean is just as good as I remember! It actually contains coffee bean oil and cocoa seed paste along with cocoa butter, so it smells like coffee with a hint of chocolate. It makes me want a mocha!

The free Cherry Lemon balm they included is super fruity and tangy, and smells just like lemongrass mixed with cherry Lifesavers. It’s going to be perfect for summertime! I wish they sold it with their other products, because I’m definitely going to miss this one when I finish it! Notice how they put “not for sale, just for fun” over where the bar code should be? So cool!

The BALMTOO is amazing, it has a super creamy texture and it’s really moisturizing! It contains chia seed oil, jojoba seed oil, and meadowfoam seed oil so it’s really good for your skin! It also soaks in really quickly, and isn’t greasy. I was curious as to whether it actually had a scent or not, because sometimes unscented stuff smells herbal or vanilla-y. It really does smell like nothing! This is great for people who are really sensitive to scented products and who just want something that smells like nothing at all. I wish there was more in the sample, because I love it so much and want more but don’t want to spend the $27 to get a full size. If you have the money to try it, I highly recommend!! Maybe sometime in the future I’ll grab a full size one so I can do a more in-depth review! Multi-use balms are pretty amazing, I already use lip balm on my cuticles or dry spots on my skin sometimes if I’m not at home and it’s all I have (only if it’s non-tinted and natural), and it works great!

In conclusion, I have to say that Hurraw lip balms are no doubt in my top five favorite lip balms. In about a month, I’m going to have to pick my half-year skincare favorites, and I can guarantee that at least one of these balms is going to make it into that post. They’re just so good! If you’ve never tried them, please, PLEASE try them. You won’t be sorry!

Glossier Berry Balm Dotcom review!

Hey everyone!

Lately I’ve been really into Glossier! Their stuff isn’t cheap, but one of the ‘pros’ of their brand is that some of their skincare products have multiple uses, so you really don’t need to spend a lot of money to get the benefits. Take their Balm Dotcoms, for example: you get a lip balm, elbow balm, and cuticle balm all in one! They have a couple of tinted ones and a bunch of clear ones, one of which even has glitter in it! Their latest one is the berry shade, it was released in late summer of this year and it’s now one of my favorite lip colors for fall! You can buy it on the Glossier website for $12, and I even got a cute blackberry sticker with mine!

It’s so fun to order from Glossier because along with your purchases, they include little gifts in the cute pink bubble mailer. This time around, along with the berry sticker, they included a set of five Berry Balm Dot Com-themed postcards that I don’t think I ever want to mail out because they are so cute! I’ll probably hang them on my walls instead. One of the postcards has a recipe for “Berry Balm Dotcompote” on it (ha-ha, get it?) which I’m going to have to try making sometime soon. (There’s a picture of the recipe card at the end of this post!)

I LOVE the color of this balm! It’s such a pretty berry shade that already looks blotted once you’ve applied it. It’s just…. a cozy color. I’m excited to wear this out while picking apples and pumpkins, and maybe incorporate it into my Halloween makeup! It’s sort of a vampy purple, so it could work. The scent is even better- it has a sweet and sour berry scent that makes me think of Sour Skittles and berry jam. The scent doesn’t stick around for very long after you apply the balm, which is good.

I love this lip balm! Please, please go buy it if you’re on the hunt for a moisturizing lip balm with a pretty berry colored tint. It really is, in my opinion, a beauty staple for fall!

Cocokind mymatcha moisture stick review!

Hey everyone!

The weather’s finally starting to cool down! I love fall, it’s my birthday season and once the leaves start falling, it means Halloween isn’t too far away! Unfortunately, with cool weather comes something not so exciting- dry skin. I’ve been breaking out all of my lotions and cuticle creams that I couldn’t use in the sticky summer heat, as well as those extra-thick, moisturizing lip balms and lip masks. One of my new favorites is a lip balm I recently purchased from the brand Cocokind, I had never tried anything from them before and I always see their products on Instagram and on blogs. This is the mymatcha all over moisture stick, and ever since I got it I’ve been using the heck out of it! This stick only has three ingredients: virgin coconut oil, beeswax, and matcha tea powder! All organic! It always makes me happy to know that what I’m putting on my skin is 100% organic, because I’m definitely guilty of using a lot of non-organic lotions and skin products. This 0.5-ounce stick cost $6.99 at Healthy Living (a healthfood store in my hometown!), which I know is a lot and I normally wouldn’t spend that much on a lip balm, but I did a lot of research on it and I’ve been wanting to try it for so long! It’s also a BIG lip balm, and I can use it on my dry skin as well as on my lips. It was a fun splurge!

Look at that green color! I already knew it was going to be green when I bought it because of all the reviews I’ve read, but it’s still pretty cool! It leaves no green color on your lips because of the coconut oil, and it also doesn’t feel too heavy! It’s super moisturizing, and it would be a great lip balm to wear under a lipstick. I was recently sick, more sick than I usually get, and my lips were VERY dry. I usually wear a ton of lip balm, but while I was sick I didn’t think to because I was so tired! As a result I had very, very dry lips, and this lip balm healed them within a matter of HOURS. I put it on in the morning, and by that afternoon my lips were moisturized and showed no signs of being as dry as they had been. The scent is also really nice! The matcha scent isn’t that strong, it mostly smells like the coconut oil and beeswax and maybe a tiny bit of matcha, but I don’t mind! It smells really natural, and I like that.

In conclusion- I totally recommend this balm to anyone with dry skin! It’s going to be really useful during the colder months. If you’re planning on travelling during the winter, this would be a great product to pick up to take with you, as it’s in a tube and won’t take up much space. There are literally no ‘cons’ I could find with this product. Five stars!

Review of Laneige Lip Glowy Balms!

Hey everyone!

This is a super exciting purchase for me…… I finally have the Laneige Lip Glowy Balms! TWO OF THEM! You guys have no idea how long I’ve wanted to try these. Even before I tried the Lip Sleeping mask (reviewed here!), I knew about these lip balms and thought they sounded really cool…… but they were only available in Korea. I purchased my Lip Glowy Balms from Sephora, and if you go on the Sephora website then you’ll see them flagged as ‘NEW’ but they’re definitely not new releases, they’re just new to Sephora and America. There are four scents available, including Berry (the same scent as the Lip Sleeping Mask), Grapefruit, Peach and Pear, and since I couldn’t buy all four I decided to try Grapefruit and Pear! The Laneige Lip Glowy Balms retail for $15 each.

I mentioned in my review of the Lip Sleeping Mask that even though it’s marketed as a mask for your lips while you sleep, I like to wear it during the day, especially if I’ve just removed lipstick or even if I just feel like having something extra nourishing on my lips. These are just a bit more convenient for daytime use, being in a tube and not needing to be applied with your finger. I feel like these are definitely supposed to be the daytime lip product from Laneige while the Lip Sleeping Mask is the nighttime one, but these balms could totally be worn during the night. They definitely feel lighter on your lips than the Lip Sleeping Mask, and apparently the Berry one is supposed to have a pink tint, so maybe that one wouldn’t be best for sleeping in. Listen to me being all nerdy about lip balms…. maybe I should write a book on these!

Anyways… these are SUPER moisturizing! They’re just as moisturizing as the Lip Sleeping Mask, they last a while on your lips and like I mentioned before, they’re super light balms! If you live in a cold climate, these would be awesome for you because they heal your lips if they’re chapped and you don’t have to apply often. Plus, you get super glossy and glowy lips!

^Some swatches! Pear is swatched on top, Grapefruit is swatched right below. Grapefruit looks pink swatched on my arm, but it doesn’t show up on your lips.

Probably the best thing about these lip balms is how amazing they smell! Luckily they had testers out in Sephora, so I was able to smell them in the store. I knew right away that I wanted to get Grapefruit, because although I don’t like eating grapefruit, I LOVE the scent. This lip balm smells like a slightly sweeter version of a real grapefruit. One I was curious about was Pear, because I read somewhere that someone thought it “smelled like a Garnier Fructis hair product” and I immediately wanted to smell this shampoo-esque lip balm. I’m smelling it as I write this, and it doesn’t smell like shampoo at all, at least not to me. It makes me think of Hi-Chew candy, so it’s definitely a sweet scent, but I can also smell the pear scent in there too. If you look right at the bottom of the ingredients list for the Pear box, it says that the last ingredient is broccoli extract. I thought that was a pretty interesting ingredient for such a sweet smelling lip balm!

I really could write a novel about how great these lip balms are, but long story short, everyone should try these. If you see them online or in stores, definitely pick them up! You won’t regret it.

Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask review!

Hey everyone!

Today I have a review of one of my favorite lip products EVER, one that everyone needs to try at some point during their lifetime: the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask! You’ve probably seen this all over the internet, it’s on so many lists as one of the top lip balms for dry lips. I believe it was also one of the 2018 Glamour Beauty Award winners, which is pretty awesome. It retails for $20 at Sephora and on the Laneige website, which sounds SUPER overpriced but there’s so much product in the container that it’s totally worth the $20.

“Wake up to baby-soft lips. This relaxing, berry-infused overnight mask is enriched with Berry Mix Complex and Vitamin C and leaves lips soft and smooth.”

-Laneige website   https://us.laneige.com/lip-sleeping-mask

If my lips are dry or cracked, this lip mask is the first thing I go to use. My lips feel immediately better, and if I put it on before I go to bed, it will still be on my lips in the morning! This product is marketed as a lip sleeping mask, one to be used before you go to bed, but I find myself using it much more during the day because I usually have a hard time remembering to put something on my lips before I go to bed. It makes my lips glossy and since it stays on for so long, it’s a good product to use before I leave for work so I won’t have to worry about reapplying during my 6-7 hour long shifts. The creamy, smooth texture is probably my favorite part of this lip mask. because you can apply it as thick or as thin as you want and your lips feel healthier after.

The scent of this lip mask is AMAZING, it’s super sweet and it smells like strawberry banana, which is one of my favorite scents. I’ve heard people say it smells like bubble gum, strawberries, cotton candy, and raspberries, but to me it just smells like strawberry banana. If you don’t like super sweet scents, you probably won’t like this lip mask.

They also give you this super cute little jelly-tipped applicator so you won’t have to use your fingers! I usually end up using my fingers anyway, but it’s still a good idea. You also get a little plastic envelope to put it in if you’re traveling (or super organized), so it’s pretty convenient.

It’s pretty hard to find a negative review of this lip mask. Like I mentioned before, it’s one of the top lip products in the US and I think it’s definitely a must-have if you like lip balms, lip glosses or if you’re just looking for a cure for dry lips. You won’t regret it!

A review of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Jelly Belly nail polish in Strawberry Cheesecake!

Hey everyone!

I’m back! I haven’t posted in so long but I’m gonna try to post more reviews in the upcoming months. Today I have a review of this amazing nail polish from Sally Hansen in their collaboration with the candy company Jelly Belly, which we all know as the company who makes the BEST jelly beans! They recently released a collection of 11 Insta-Dri nail polishes based on 11 of the original Jelly Belly flavors, including Very Cherry, Buttered Popcorn, and my personal favorite, Strawberry Cheesecake!

I love Sally Hansen’s nail polishes so much, but I love their Insta-Dri ones in particular because they really do dry quickly (in about a minute!) and the brushes are shaped to fit your nail so you won’t be struggling to get the polish on the sides of your nail or up to the cuticle. I also love the little Jelly Belly logos on the bottle.

One thing is for sure- this nail polish definitely looks like a Strawberry Cheesecake jelly bean! They got the pink base color almost on point, and the little pink glitters are super cute! They look like the little splotches on the actual jelly beans. The polish also covers your nail really well and is opaque in two coats! It’s such a nice subtle color and perfect for spring or summer. Be sure to let me know in the comments if you’ve tried any of these Jelly Belly Insta-Dri polishes, and which one is your favorite!

Review of Ulta Beauty One in a Melon lip treatment kit!!

Hey everyone!!

Today I have a really exciting post for you! We recently had an Ulta store open nearby, which is pretty awesome because we’ve never had one in our area before. I love makeup and skincare, so I was pretty excited when I learned that it would be opening! My Mom and I went to check it and it was pretty cool, it’s such a big store and they had at least a hundred brands of makeup, skincare, hair products and perfume. My Mom bought me this awesome lip care set, it comes with a Juice Gloss, Slushy Scrub and a Jelly Balm and the best part is, they are all watermelon scented!

One thing I really love about these is that they’re unique from most lip products you see in stores. Like, I’ve never seen a “Slushy Scrub” before! They’re just so fun and different, and it’s so convenient that you get a lip balm, a lip gloss and a lip scrub all together in this one set! It’s also really nice that all three of these are sort of travel sized, so you’ll be all set if you bring all three of these with you on a trip. The packaging is so nice too, the bright pink box caught my eye in the store and of course, the flower lip gloss is pretty amazing! The clean pink and black packaging with the bit of green from the flowers in the gloss is so perfect and draws you in! I also love the watermelon scent in all of these, it’s definitely watermelon Lip Smacker-ish in a way but it also really makes me think of that amazing watermelon Hubba Bubba gum that’s green on the outside and pinkish red on the inside.

First I want to talk about the Slushy Scrub, which I’ve been using almost every night after my shower and some mornings before I put on lipstick. It’s unlike any other lip scrub I’ve tried, it’s like a lip gloss with sugar throughout it and it’s so fun to use! I like to put it on like a lip gloss and then scrub my lips with my finger, and it gets any dead skin off! The ratio of sugar to gloss is pretty good, there’s a bit more gloss than sugar but I don’t mind because that just makes it more moisturizing. Overall I LOVE this lip scrub, it’s super handy and I love that it’s in a tube! I wish there were more lip scrubs like this one because I’m obsessed with it.

Next is the Juice Gloss, which is SO pretty! Look at those flowers! I like how they used red and pink flowers and then one green flower in the middle. I also love that they decided to make it a rollerball gloss, because when I was little I had tons of those Expressions lip glosses that were in rollerball tubes and this definitely brings back memories! The little ball in this one doesn’t get stuck in place when you’re applying it either, which I’m very happy about. It applies super shiny and it actually lasts a while, it’s not a thick gloss but it lasts me about four to five hours before I need to reapply, which is pretty good. Overall I think that if you’re looking for an amazing lip gloss, you HAVE to try this!

Last but certainly not least is the Jelly Balm! Guys, any lip balm that has the word ‘jelly’ in its name is automatically something I want to try. I don’t know why, probably because jelly is DELICIOSO and also jelly lip balms are usually really shiny and moisturizing! This one has both of those qualities, it’s only a tiny bit sticky and it looks super shiny on your lips! It’s also really moisturizing, it makes dry lips soft again and lately I’ve been wearing it under lipsticks to keep that moisturizing barrier between my lips and the lipstick. I recommend also putting this on right after you use the lip scrub, it will keep your lips from getting dry.

I hope you enjoyed reading this review! If you love watermelon like I do, you definitely need to try these products out. As of November 2018, your local Ulta store should still have these and you can order them from the website too!

Asia Luna spearmint lip balm review!

Hey everyone!

School is starting soon and summer is coming to an end, but today I wanted to tell you guys about this amazing lip balm that I’ve been loving all summer! I kicked off my summer break with a trip to Catskill, New York, where we stayed in a really nice house, ate amazing food and hung out with family! One day we went to a farmer’s market in Hudson, and it was pretty awesome! One of my favorite stands was where I got this lip balm, it’s a small family-owned business from NY called Asia Luna! They sell so many different products like soaps, body butters, foot creams, soy candles, and lip balms! My dad bought me this lip balm, I think it was around $3 and it’s in the scent spearmint !

One thing I really love about skincare from farmer’s market stands is that they’re usually pretty natural, since the seller makes them themselves. Short ingredient lists always make me really happy, and this lip balm only has eight ingredients: beeswax, shea butter, coconut oil, palm oil, caster oil, olive oil, jojoba oil and pure spearmint essential oils! There are so many kinds of oils in this balm, and the beeswax makes such a good base ingredient, and combined it makes for a moisturizing lip balm. This makes my lips soft almost immediately after I put it on, which I love because the weather here has been ever-changing lately and I need a moisturizing lip balm. It also stays on my lips for a while, once I put it on I don’t have to reapply for at least an hour!

Now for the scent- this lip balm smells so good! It’s a not-too-strong spearmint scent, and there’s a spicy note in the background too- it kinda smells like curry? It’s hard to smell, but it totally reminds me of Salem, Massachusetts. Like if you walk into those crystal shops, it smells like all different kinds of incense? That’s what that background scent reminds me of. Maybe it’s just the mintyness making me smell other things, but I love it! It makes me think of spearmint gum. It even tastes super minty, and I feel like this lip balm would be awesome if you wanted your breath to smell minty.

This lip balm is AMAZING, I love it so much and honestly everyone needs one of these balms in their life. Be sure to check out the Asia Luna website, and if you’ve tried their other products then definitely leave me a comment below if you have any recommendations!

Review of the NEW Maybelline Lemonade Craze palette!

Hey everyone!

Wow, I haven’t really done an eyeshadow review in a really long time! I think my last one was for the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette. I recently started seeing this new Maybelline palette around Instagram and all over the internet, and when I learned that it was lemonade themed I knew I had to try it. I also learned that it was lemonade scented, and that made me want to try it even more. The colors looked gorgeous and super summery, there are glittery, matte and metallic shades all in this one palette! I love the bright pinks and subtle cream colors, and of course the one bright yellow shade. I had to preorder it on Amazon because I couldn’t find it in stores, but luckily it ended up being restocked and shipped out less than a week later. I think it was around $10, which is a good price considering you get twelve shadows.

I absolutely love the feel of these eyeshadows, they feel different than any others I’ve tried before. They are SO soft, they feel really velvety and smooth and not at all dry. They have amazing pigment too, as you can see in the swatch pictures below. They do have some fallout when you’re putting them on, but only if you’re using a brush. I use my fingers to apply them, and that results in less fallout. I love the shade names as well, and I love that they are conveniently printed below the pans! All of the names match the shades very well, and are inspired by lemonade and other summery refreshing drinks. And I love that the one bright yellow is called Lemonade Craze!

I know that a lot of you are probably pretty curious about how much this palette smells like lemonade- and I have good news! This palette really does smell like sour lemons, with a bit of a sweet scent in there too. It is a light scent, and doesn’t smell EXACTLY like an ice-cold glass of lemonade, but you can definitely smell the lemon in there! I like it.

All of these shades are so pretty! They really do work well for summer makeup looks.

Let’s start off with the first column of six shadows! Sherbet is the first shadow in the left column, and it’s a really good base shade. I’ve been using it under bright shadows (like Ice Pop!). I like that it makes the color pop even more. Right below Sherbet is Berry Ice, which makes me think of yogurt! It’s the exact color of Yoplait strawberry yogurt! I like wearing it with a glitter over top, but it works well as a base too. Next is Ice Pop, a super bright pinky-red. It’s one of my favorites from this palette because it’s SO bright and 80s, which of course I love. You could even use this as a blush if you wanted! It screams summer and makes me want cherry popsicles. Below Ice Pop is Sunnies, which is a creamy off-white color. It would work well under neon shadows because it’s super bright and solid, and it would go well with glitter too. Next is Coral Punch, which is the perfect peachy shade. It would go well blended with Ice Pop, and I like how subtle it is. It would be good for days when you want to wear makeup but not anything too bright. Next is Main Squeeze, which is a really pretty golden glittery shade, which would look really good over bright eyeshadows. It’s not overly glittery, it won’t irritate your eyes or anything, so I love it.

Now onto column #2! First is Citrus, which is such a pretty metallic glittery peachy beige. It would be good for days when you want a subtle eye look with just a bit of glitter. Below Citrus is Strawberry Lemonade, another one of my favorites from this palette. It’s the perfect pinky-gold metallic shadow, and I love wearing it over the shadow below it, Old Fashioned, which is a nice warm brown color. It looks really good either in the crease or right under your lower lashes. It totally reminds me of the warm orange-y brown of iced tea, or hot chocolate! Next is the star of the palette, which of course is Lemonade Craze! This yellow would automatically make anyone think of The Simpsons, and even though it’s rarely seen as an eyeshadow shade, it actually goes really well with glitters and pinks/reds! I like wearing it with Strawberry Lemonade, but it blends well with pretty much any shadow. Next is Sugar Coated, which I love wearing with dark blues. It’s a gorgeous warm metallic copper brown color that looks amazing with any color, especially black and darker blues. The last shadow is called Sweet Tea, which is super warm but subtle! It goes well with Lemonade Craze, either blended into the crease or in the outer corners.

I really hope you guys enjoyed reading my review of this palette, I love it so much and it’s the perfect palette for ayone who LOVES lemonade! If you happen to find it in a store or online I highly recommend getting it, because it is definitely a must-have.

Bee Happy Vermont beeswax lip balm review!

Hey everyone!

Yay, it’s FINALLY starting to get summery outside! At least, where I am it is. I live in Vermont and the weather is always wonky here, I’ve even heard some people at school saying that they know people upstate who are still getting snow! It’s been getting up into the 60’s and 70’s over the past week, it’s been sunny some days and rainy other days and I’m hoping it stays like this because I can tolerate this weather! 😂

One awesome part of having nice weather (and no snow!) is that outdoor events start popping up! I love going to our town’s farmer’s market, there are so many stands with fresh produce, delicious pastries, refreshing juices, and, of course, TONS of maple things. If you go to a farmer’s market in Vermont, you end up seeing a lot of beeswax and maple products. Along with foods, there are also vendors selling things like jewelry, clothing, candles and even beauty products! There are so many different kinds of soaps, lotions and lip balms, and the best part is, most are made in Vermont! The first farmer’s market of the season was this past weekend and I got to go, and I saw some pretty cool stuff! I’m kicking myself now because I didn’t get any pictures, but it does tend to get pretty crowded so it would have been tough. We were walking around, and came across this cool little stand selling beautifully carved beeswax candles, bottles of honey, and these cute little jars of beeswax lip balm! I used the tester lip balm that was out and fell in love with it! We kept walking around, but I ended up running back to the stand before we left so I could grab one! It was $3.50, and I’m so happy I got it because it works so well. The little jar it comes in is cute as well!

Our honey comes from our beehives in the hills of Starksboro and the farmlands of the Champlain Valley.                                                                                                                        Our candles are hand crafted with 100% pure beeswax by Pedro Salas in Starksboro Vermont.”

-Bee Happy Vermont website

I love that this lip balm is made with beeswax that’s actually from Vermont, I like knowing exactly where the ingredients in my lip balm come from so this makes me super happy! I also love that this lip balm only has two ingredients: virgin organic coconut oil, and fresh Vermont beeswax! It’s nice to see a lip balm with such simple ingredients. As you can see in the picture, it also comes with a pretty good amount of balm! It’ll last you a while, but I’m planning on grabbing one more towards the end of the summer to last me through the winter, after the farmers market is over.

This lip balm is really, really moisturizing. It’s perfect! The coconut oil softens the beeswax, so the balm isn’t too solid. If you rub your finger around in the jar you’ll get product on your finger, it is an oily formula at first because of the coconut oil but it gets creamier the more you use it. It soaks into your lips so quickly too.

It even smells good! If you’re smelling it from the container it smells like equal parts of coconut and beeswax, but once it’s on your lips it smells just like sweet honey that you put in your tea! There’s not a flavor on this one, and to be honest I really don’t mind! This is just a perfect balm to put on before a long class or as I’m getting into bed to go to sleep.

This balm is so amazing, be sure to check out their website for some AMAZING beeswax products!
